Alzheimer’s

Everyone would have probably heard of the Alzheimer’s disease. The actually questions that need to be address are:

  • How well do we really know this disease?

  • Do you think that you or your relatives might this disease?

  • What to do or can be done?

Let us find out more

Alzheimer’s is a type of dementia that can be commonly found in older sufferers. This disease occur when all parts of the brain cell degenerates. Patients will experience abnormalities in many parts of the brain function. For example:

  • unable to control one’s emotions

  • unable to distinguish right from wrong

  • have problems with using language and communicating

  • lose the ability to do daily activities

  • have a memory disorder

In the last stage of the disease, patients normally will lose all their memory before they pass away. According to international medical statistics, 10% of the elderly, aged 60 years and above have Alzheimer’s. However, the number of patients under 60 with the disease are increasing, especially in patients with diseases that can lead to abnormalities of the blood vessels, such as coronary artery disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and dyslipidemia.

Alzheimer’s can be divided into 3 phases and they are as follows:

  1. In the first phase, the patients normally become aware of the fact that they are becoming more forgetful. They might forget to turn off the iron or close the door. They might forget to take medicine. They may need someone to write a list of things to do for them.

  2. In the second phase, the patient will lose their memory, especially recent memory. They might remember a story in the past and start to use incorrect words. Their emotions fluctuate. They will have problems with day, time, and place. They might get lost and not remember the way home. They might forget the names of close relatives. They might feel suspicious and confused. Patients might also have problem sleeping at night. Some may act aggressively while outside. Some people might lose interested in the things around them.

  3. In the third phase, the patients will feel confused. They might not know the day or month. Some patients might experience hallucinations. Some might have bowel control issues and wet or soil themselves. They will not pay attention to themselves. They would need someone to take care of them 24 hours. These patients would normally end up being bedridden and riddled with complications. Sadly, they would likely end up dying due to secondary infections like pneumonia.

Treatment for Alzheimer’s

Modern medicine will emphasize treatment according to the symptoms. Currently, most medicine that is used can increase the quantity of acetylcholine in the brain. This medicine can slightly improve the symptoms of Alzheimer patients. However, it cannot slow down the deterioration of the disease and it cannot completely cure the disease.

Integrative medicine for Alzheimer’s

  1. Eliminate the toxins and heavy metals from the body safely by using chelation therapy to recover the blood vessels and reduce the risk of blocked blood vessels.

  2. Treatment using anti-oxidants, which are all natural substances that are effective in reducing free radicals in the body.

  3. Reduce the inflammation in the body by using oxidation therapy.

  4. Treatment using nutrients that boost brain cells recovery which includes essential amino acids, vitamins, essential fatty acids, minerals and useful plant extracts.

  5. Use of natural hormones for patients who lack or have hormone deficiency.

  6. Organ-specific Nucleic acid Therapy which is effective in repairing and building the brain cells in the damaged area.

  7. CPT/FCT Therapy

Integrative treatment means a treatment that aims to treat the disease at the cause. This is done by trying to eliminate or reduce the possible causes by controlling the symptoms that can help enhance patients’ quality of life and at the same time recover the body functions.

The human body is a living thing that must work and coordinate together, not separately. All problems must be solved together at the same time by holding to the principle of safety first. Therefore, treatments with natural substances are emphasized and the key is to avoid using synthetic substances or chemicals in order to prevent long term side effects.
