The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Department of Health, the Department of Health Services, and the Ministry of Public Health have now approved participation by both governmental and private organizations in this program. Their goal is to improve cleanliness and health safety, as well as to reassure both locals and tourists that the goods or services purchased from establishments such as health and beauty institutions, hotels, and restaurants are in accordance with the Government Health Guidelines.
